The difference between a hit and a home run can be found in the speed and strength behind the swing.
Instructions
- 1Hold the bat, step inside the batter's box and assume a comfortable stance (see 'eHow to Hit a Baseball').
- 2Watch the ball as it leaves the pitcher's hand.
- 3Stay inward on the ball. In other words, keep your body weight leaning in toward the plate.
- 4Rotate your body instead of your head when you swing. As you swing, pivot on your back foot, transferring your weight steadily from back foot to front, and follow through with the bat. It should end up in the middle of your back. Remember that it's the speed of your swing and the muscle behind it that will send the ball over the fence.

Tips & Warnings
- Get into a weight-training program to build strength.
- Increase strength by hitting a miniature basketball off a tee.
- Practice without a ball to develop your speed and the finer points of your technique. Try rapid swings with the bat to build up speed.

This advice is inaccurate. First of all, hitting a homerun requires bat speed and the correct swing, not just strength, after all, a homerun is nothing more than a hard line drive that the hitter got under a fraction of an inch. This is done by getting your bat on the plain of the pitch and hitting the bottom half of the ball. Doing this supplys the necessary backspin needed to keep the ball in the air long enough to leave the yard. The best thing to do is to try and hit the ball hard and the homeruns will happen.tank9898Aug 04, 2009
There are alot of good med's out there to "bulk up" that should help you attain the power to hit homeruns. Some people prefer female fertility drugs, but I suggest something like Turkish primo which is realatively inexpensive.
